Ready Or Not, Here Comes The Metaverse…
On October 28th, 2021, Facebook rebranded itself as it looked towards the future. The household name is now known as Meta. As this transition comes into full effect, many are wondering how this will effect this existing platforms we are used to (Facebook, InstaGram, etc.). Furthermore, how will this affect the ability to advertise?
While these feelings of uncertainty are certainly warranted, these should also be matched with feelings of excitement.
The metaverse is inevitable give where technology is today. Rather than rejecting it, our team at ARO Effect Marketing has decided to embrace it and begin to better understand it’s capabilites and how advertiseres can take advantage of the digital space.
What we do know is that many industries will be shaken up. Shopping experiences, for example, will be more than just browsing items on a website. When the metaverse blossoms into its full potential, shopperes will be able to throw on the VR headshot and actually visit a “meta-mall” type of environment via their avatar. You won’t just have to rely on images of the item. You will be able to pick up it, try it on, get a closer look – you name it.
In this example, advertisers will likely be able to take advantage of digital signage opportunities that exist within that given space.
The real estate market within the metaverse has already begun to see investors jump in, and this is just the beginning.
